Gary R. Donahee

Chairman

 

Gary R. Donahee has had an accomplished career with Bell-Northern Research Company and Nortel Networks, where he held executive and presidential positions for North and South Americas, EMEA and CALA regions.. He was also Senior Vice-President for Corporate Human Resources.

Mr. Donahee has served as Director for Advanced Network Systems, the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes, George Washington University's MBA Program, the International Mathematics Olympiad, Bell Canada International Inc., Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas's MBA Program, the United Way, Prism Systems and the Conference Board of Canada.

Gary has strong relationships with every major and independent telco in the domestic and international marketplace. He facilitates introductions and provides sales and marketing coaching, which is beneficial to Voice Mobility.

 

Gerald Butters

Gerald Butters is a communications industry veteran with 40 years' experience. His career encompasses senior executive positions at Nortel Networks (NYSE: NT), AT&T (NYSE: T) and Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU) including Chairman of the Board of AGCS (a joint venture of GTE and AT&T), and President of NTI (a Nortel Networks US subsidiary). While at AT&T and Lucent, Mr. Butters held several senior executive positions including President, Global Public Networks: President, North American Marketing, Sales and Service: Group President Optical Networking, and Senior Vice President Marketing and Technology, the company's largest unit representing $23.6 billion in annual sales. Since retiring in 2000 Mr. Butters has been active in the technology sector serving as a board member and advisor to a number of companies. Mr. Butters is also a Fellow of the International Engineering Consortium (IEC).

 

Sherman Henderson

Sherman Henderson has over 35 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently, he is president and CEO of Lightyear Network Solutions, LLC, formerly known as UniDial Communications. UniDial generated $220 million in revenue in its first seven years.

For three terms, Mr. Henderson was chairman of the Telecommunications Reseller Association. In 2000, he was named as one of the most influential people in the telecommunications industry. In 2004, he was elected chairman of COMPTEL, which is the leading telecommunications trade association comprised of over 350 companies.

 

Bill Laird

William H. Laird is a venture capitalist who is a significant Voice Mobility supporter. He served for the past fifteen years as director to several start-up companies. Mr. Laird is president of W.H. Laird Holdings Ltd., and director and secretary of Tech-Crete Processors Ltd., Piccadilly Place Mall Inc., and Exel Construction Ltd. These companies encompass manufacturing, construction, and property development and leasing.

 

David Raffa

Mr. Raffa served as corporate counsel to Voice Mobility for the past seven years, prior to retiring from the practice of law at the end of 2005. He is a founder, COO and Fund Manager with BC Advantage Funds, an early stage venture capital fund based in Vancouver, B.C. Mr. Raffa is an acknowledged corporate finance and governance expert, providing finance, governance and M&A advice to technology companies and their Boards through Valeo Practices.

Mr. Raffa serves as a member of the Board of the BC Technology Industries Association, having chaired its Capital and Investment Committee for two years and currently chairing its Advocacy Committee. David has also served as an advisor to the B.C. Securities Commission and to the TSX Venture Exchange in respect of issues material to the technology industry. He was formerly Chairman of Science World's Equity Committee, and led the launch of Science World's successful equity donation program.

Mr. Raffa has over 20 years' experience in advising technology companies and currently serves as a director or advisory board member to a number of public and private technology companies. Mr. Raffa served as Chair of ActiveState through its successful sale to Sophos PLC of the UK. In May 2004, Mr. Raffa was named as one of BC's top 25 "New Elite" innovators by BC Business magazine.

 

Morgan P.W. Sturdy

Mr. Sturdy brings over 20 years' experience in managing and guiding successful manufacturing and technology companies. Earlier in his career he was President of Dees Communications Engineering Ltd., a company that became a market leader in the computer-telephony integration products behind Northern Telecom's networks. Although he has retired from his position as Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of NICE Systems North America, Morgan continues to act as a consultant to them. NICE is a publicly traded company listed on NASDAQ, and is currently the leading global provider of Computer Telephony Integrated voice capture, quality measurement and workflow solutions for voice and data. Under Morgan, NICE experienced revenues of $70 million USD, up 250% in one year. Morgan currently serves on boards of directors for seven technology companies in BC, four of which are publicly traded.

 

Randy Buchamer

President and CEO

 

Mr. Buchamer is a seasoned executive with expertise in building sales and managing large operations. He brings to our board his extensive experience in strategic planning, sales and operations, and an impressive record for leadership in dynamic organizations. As Managing Director, Operations for The Jim Pattison Group, he was responsible for supporting the $4 billion operations of the 55 companies owned by The Jim Pattison Group. Before joining The Jim Pattison Group, Randy was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Mohawk Oil. He also has extensive experience in publishing, marketing and distributing software solutions for such companies as Digital Equipment Corporation and Micom Canada Ltd.
